I'm Kris, software craftsman
I solve problems
About me
What I love about working as software developer is that thrill of an act of creation of a tools intended to solve real problems. I enjoy conceptual and analytical thinking, and I do it for 20 years already ;)
I started when I was 11 yo by cheating in Legion (it's a very old computer game from Paradox Interactive).
I wasn't able to complete certain missions but I noticed that the game's configuration files were easily accessible and readable enough, that I could intuitively, and without any prior knowledge of programming, be able to change the statistics of my units.
It was my first conscious modification in the program code and the first step
towards a huge adventure in the world of software.
Fast forward to 2022, I finished a CS class in technical high school, studied geophysics (where I had a great course on UNIX and programming), served in the Police (where, among other things, I investigated cases of online frauds)
- but since 2017 I have been gaining commercial experience as a backend developer and got degrees in homeland security, software engineering, and project management.
Experience
- - Over 5 years of commercial experience in software engineering
- - 8 commercial projects (4 fullstack, 3 backend, 1 frontend), various stacks
- - Deep knowledge of Ruby and Rails
- - Broad knowledge of technologies
- - Code analysis / reverse engineering skills
- - Skill to "touch" code, regardless of technology
- - BS in homeland security, postgraduate in software engineering, postgraduate in project management
Skills
Ruby (Rails) / Python / Node.js (Express, Nest) / Vue / React / TypeScript / JavaScript / Docker / AWS / SQL / NoSQL / GIT
